Christianity Defines Real Manhood

“I have chosen him so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just. Then the Lord will give to Abraham what he promised him.”” Genesis 18:19 NET https://bible.com/bible/107/gen.18.19.NET

Every man in Christ can and should be a godly, real man. What does it take to be a man before God? It takes commitment to Him to seek Him and to do what He commands. A man of God then takes the initiative to share his relationship with God with His children and neighbor until everyone obeys everything the Lord commands. God chose Abraham because God knew he would do these very things. Abraham would obey God and teach his children to do the same while also requiring his tribe to follow the ways of the Lord. The church has a great opportunity today to redefine manhood. The world is confused and unable to identify what being a man means. The church can focus on God’s definition of manhood by aiming men toward God’s target of loving Him with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength and their neighbor as themselves, proven by their engagement of family, church, and friends with teaching obedience to all of Jesus’ commands. The man of God seeks God and leads his family in that same direction. The man of God initiates the pursuit of God, worship, and obedience to God. Every man in Christ can be a real man, is called to be a real man, a man of God. Every man can and must pursue Jesus as his Lord and help his family and friends know Jesus as their Savior and Lord. This is what makes a man of God.
