Christians Must Be Courageous

“But my righteous one will live by faith, and if he shrinks back, I take no pleasure in him. But we are not among those who shrink back and thus perish, but are among those who have faith and preserve their souls.” Hebrews 10:38-39 NET https://bible.com/bible/107/heb.10.38-39.NET

Those who sincerely love Jesus are not among those who fear men for loving Him. Increasingly the culture is bullying Christians from obedience to Jesus. Calling their Scripture illegitimate and canceling their meeting together for fear of spreading disease, the pagan culture increasingly seeks to delegitimize Christianity. God has not given His people a Spirit of fear, but the courage to stand with Him and against evil, love for those who do evil against them, and wisdom to know how to live in an ever increasingly hostile culture to Jesus and His teachings (2 Timothy 1.7). While the culture demands we reeducate Christians through sensitivity training in education, government, and business, the Christian remains sensitive to obeying God’s word, which commands him to love people unconditionally while calling everyone to repentance and obedience to God in Jesus the Savior. Conflict must arise between the culture and the Christian, for all of us are born rebels against God, and until we are born again, we remain this way creating tension between the ways of God and our will. This conflict will never end until Jesus returns and recreates the heavens and the earth for His people to live with Him forever in peace, love, and righteousness. Those who will live with God on the new earth are those who were faithful to God on this earth, not fearing men who can harm the body but fearing Him who can send both body and soul to hell.
