Working To Be Found Faithful

Stay alert, then, because you do not know when the owner of the house will return – whether during evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or at dawn – or else he might find you asleep when he returns suddenly. What I say to you I say to everyone: Stay alert!”” Mark 13:35-37 NET https://bible.com/bible/107/mrk.13.35-37.NET

The most challenging work is looking busy when there is nothing to do. The day goes faster and better when there is much to do, and the body and mind actively accomplish the assigned work. While the laborers are few, the work of the harvest is plentiful. While the King has been gone a long time, so many are resting or at play, chaos is increasing, and the King’s ways are increasingly ignored, giving many opportunities to the faithful worker of God. Being alert, ready for the King’s return at any time, means being found working at His business upon His return. Being alert is being caught doing what the King assigned when He left us in charge of seeing His kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Our responsibility while He tarries is to increase the knowledge of Him demonstrated by obedience to Him among everyone on earth as it is in heaven. The Great Commission is the mission of every Christian to be diligently, intentionally, and consistently engaged until we perish or the Lord returns. The Lord Himself will reward the alert, the faithful, and the fruitful for their faithfulness to Him and His assignment. The world needs workers in this ripe harvest. Who is alert, working until the Master returns?
