The world is in chaos. Many are those without peace or hope in the world. Anxiety, depression, and fear are at record highs, so it seems. Covid, wars, economics, a denial of truth, removal of God from the culture, and increasing immorality and violence reveal a potential harvest ripe for the obedient church. What is the obedient church? The people of God who live like the Son of God, Whose food was to do the will of Father God. His will is that no one should perish, but all should come to everlasting life through Jesus, the world’s Savior. The obedient Christian sows and reaps in this ripe field by sharing the love of God revealed in the person of God, Jesus, Who is our Savior God. Those who diligently share God’s love with others, as demonstrated by Jesus the Savior, reap an eternal reward from God for doing His will on earth in obedience to His command to go and make disciples. This reward will be given on the new earth where all those who loved God will be honored by God for their obedience to His commands. Those who worked in the harvest will receive their reward, but those who built with wood, hay, and stubble, kingdoms that were not meant to last forever, will possibly enter heaven though as one escaping a burning building with only the clothes on their back. People need God’s hope, joy, peace, and love in Jesus. They are harassed and helpless like sheep without a shepherd. O that the church of God would love the people in the world by sharing the love of God with the people in the world for bringing them all into the family of God for the glory of God.
