Numbers 34:1-3, 6-7, 10 NIV “The Lord said to Moses, “Command the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter Canaan, the land that will be allotted to you as an inheritance is to have these boundaries: “ ‘Your southern side will include some of the Desert of Zin along the border of Edom… ‘Your western boundary will be the coast of the Mediterranean Sea… ‘For your northern boundary, run a line from the Mediterranean Sea to Mount Hor…..‘For your eastern boundary, run a line from Hazar Enan to Shepham.” https://bible.com/bible/111/num.34.2-10.NIV
Nowhere in human history has it been recorded that God has come to His people and set the boundaries of their land. Before Israel conquered the Promised Land, God had defined its boundaries. God called His people to a place, and He set the boundaries for that place. While the pagans might claim their false gods gave them their land after war, the One True God defined the land of His people before they went to war. No other gods have ever done such a thing, for no other gods exist. Yet Israel lost their land for centuries because they disobeyed God. They were not faithful to obey Him so they did not receive the blessings promised to them if they had remained loyal to Him always. When God came to redeem all people and to establish a New Covenant for working with and through humanity, He did not promise His people a defined territory but commanded them to go into all nations and make disciples. The Christian home is with God on the new earth, to be received and enjoyed forever after every one on this earth has been saved and whom God has appointed for eternal life with Him. Christians are not to indulge and engage in the temporary values of this world but to set their hearts and minds on the eternal values of God, who desires everyone to be reconciled to Him and walk in obedience before Him. Therefore, Christians, the people of God under His New Covenant, are not land owners but human servants for preaching Jesus as Savior and teaching Jesus as Lord until all the world acknowledges Jesus alone as God and Savior.
