Guard the Truth: How Christian Men Can Stand Firm in a Deceptive World

1 Timothy 6:20–21 NIVTimothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have departed from the faith. Grace be with you all.”

There are two competing worldviews in America today—and every Christian man must decide which side he will stand on.

On one side is the historic belief of our founding fathers:

There is a God. He has made Himself known through Jesus Christ and the Scriptures. His laws are just, His ways are good, and this nation’s institutions were once built to reflect His truth.

On the other side is the modern worldview:

There is no god, and man is the measure of all things. This belief dominates our government, our schools, and our media. It mocks biblical truth, elevates science without God, and celebrates personal freedom at any cost—even if it means destroying life, redefining morality, and poisoning the minds of children.

This godless philosophy isn’t just out there—it’s creeping into our churches and homes. Too many Christian men are being seduced by it, loving the approval of the world, chasing education and intellectual respectability, and forgetting that God calls such wisdom foolishness (1 Corinthians 3:19).

The truth is, secular leaders know they’re promoting empty lies. But without God, they have nothing better to offer. Their narrative—you’re a cosmic accident living for temporary pleasure—leads only to despair, moral chaos, and eternal judgment.

But you, man of God, are called to something better.

God has entrusted you with His Word—the only source of truth that has never been proven wrong. He’s given you His Spirit and commanded you to guard your heart, protect your family, and stand firm against this age of deception.
