John 7:7, 13 NIV “The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that its works are evil. But no one would say anything publicly about him for fear of the leaders.”
Men, Jesus spoke plainly: the world hates Him because He exposes evil. That reality hasn’t changed. From the sexual revolution to today’s celebration of abortion up to birth, darkness deepens when truth is silenced.
Many of us have stayed quiet to avoid conflict—keeping our faith private while culture drifted further from God. We’ve tolerated what God calls sin: first fornication, then homosexual practice, and now the destruction of life itself. Our silence has helped pave the way.
But Christ commands something different. The Great Commission is not a suggestion. Every believer is sent to proclaim who God is and what He requires. Jesus warns that those who testify to God’s truth will be hated, even when they speak in love. Courage, not comfort, defines the faithful man.
Brothers, our mission is clear:
-
Reject fear. Stop hiding your faith in the workplace, the neighborhood, or your own family.
-
Speak truth in love. Share the gospel and God’s standards with humility but without apology.
-
Live boldly. Let your obedience be as visible as your words.
The world’s hatred is proof you are aligned with Christ, not a sign to retreat. Better to be hated for the truth than loved for compromise.
Where have you stayed silent to keep the peace? Identify one place—home, work, or community—where you will speak God’s truth this week. Pray for courage, then act.
Men of God, the time for private religion is over. Step into the light, proclaim Christ, and lead your family and your world toward the only One who saves.
