In the Kingdom of God the strong defer to the weak.

Therefore do not let what is for you a good thing be spoken of as evil; for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For the one who serves Christ in this way is acceptable to God and approved by other people. So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another. Do not tear down the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are clean, but they are evil for the person who eats and causes offense. It is good not to eat meat or to drink wine, or to do anything by which your brother or sister stumbles. The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is the one who does not condemn himself in what he approves. But the one who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin.” Romans 14:16-23 NASB2020 https://bible.com/bible/2692/rom.14.16-23.NASB2020

In the kingdom of God the powerful defer to the weaker. Is this not true of God Himself? He is the all-powerful, the Almighty, yet He allows men to do as they please, whether curse Him to His face or conduct the greatest evil against His creation before His very eyes. God’s deferral for now does not mean approval now but reflects His patience. God allows evil to give men a chance to repent and to turn back to Him for He takes no delight in the death of any man but desires everyone to repent from evil and to turn to Jesus and begin loving Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. So too as we live with one another the powerful are to defer to the weak as much as possible to help the weak become strong. While we are to be convinced in our own hearts and minds of those things God requires of us that are not specifically defined in the Scriptures, like smoking cigars for instance, we are not to allow our personal convictions to cause those who are not so convinced to question their faith or our own. Instead a healthy dialogue should ensue to discuss these things culminating in a mutual love for one another with the stronger being willing while with the weaker to defer from their behavior that which is not acceptable to their weaker brother. This is how we love one another and so honor Christ Who loves us this way as well. When Jesus reigns on the new earth these trivial matters will go away but for now we must work at loving one another understanding that loving others may mean deferring to others that which is perfectly acceptable in our own sight.
