Luke 24:25-27, 44-48 (NIV) “He said to them, ‘How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?’ And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. He said to them, ‘This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.’ Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, ‘This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.’” Read it here
Men, this is where everything comes together. Jesus is not one option among many—He is the Messiah, the fulfillment of every Old Testament prophecy, and the only hope for your life, your family, and your eternity.
The Pharisees missed it. The disciples missed it at first. Even Saul—the most religious man of his time—missed it until the Spirit opened his eyes. Only when the Holy Spirit reveals truth do men see clearly that Jesus is Savior, Lord, and Judge. And once a man sees, he can never unsee.
Paul’s life is proof. He went from hunting Christians to proclaiming Christ as the Messiah until it cost him his life. That’s the call on us as men today—not just to believe in Jesus, but to stand for Him with boldness when culture, family, or even our own flesh pull us in the opposite direction.
Brothers, this is where your purpose, provision, and priorities must align:
-
Purpose – You were made to know Christ and make Him known.
-
Provision – God provides forgiveness, strength, and eternal life through His Son alone.
-
Priorities – Nothing matters more than living for Jesus now and being ready to meet Him face-to-face later.
The Bible ends with a clear picture: a new heaven and a new earth where Jesus lives with His people in perfect fellowship with the Father. That’s our future if we repent, believe, and walk in His Spirit today.
If you feel confused about Jesus, the Bible, or even your life’s direction—start here: repent, trust Jesus as Messiah, and plant yourself in a church where Christ is proclaimed. Your eternity, and your leadership as a man, depends on it.
