Living as Priests and Warriors for Christ

Revelation 1.5-6 NIV “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.”

Jesus is the faithful witness—the One who perfectly revealed the truth of God. He is King of kings and Lord of all creation, reigning over every throne, every business, every home, and every life. Through His sacrifice, He has freed us from sin by His blood and appointed us as a kingdom of priests, men who serve and represent God in a broken world.

When Jesus declared, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me” (Matthew 28:18), He gave us our orders: Go and make disciples. This is not a suggestion for the “spiritually elite.” It’s a command for every man who confesses Jesus as Lord.

Yet, many of us—busy, distracted, and weary—neglect our priestly call. We attend church, pray privately, maybe lead our families in devotion, but too often, we remain silent when the world needs truth. Jesus is the Truth—and truth must be spoken to be known.

Being a priest means we stand between God and the world, helping others encounter His love, truth, and freedom. It’s not about perfection or religious performance—it’s about faithful service. We are obedient not because we’re good men, but because we’re redeemed men with a mission: to bring others to repentance and faith in Christ.

Every conversation, every decision, every leadership moment at home or work is an opportunity for priestly service. Our calling is active—to speak, serve, and sacrifice like Jesus did.

Run Today’s Play:  Look for one person to serve or speak truth to.
Maybe it’s your coworker, your son, your spouse, or a struggling friend. Ask God to open your eyes and your mouth—to let you be His ambassador of truth and grace.

Run today’s play with courage, brother. You’ve been chosen and empowered by the King to be His witness—to bring light and hope wherever your feet walk.

Remember: Being a Christian man isn’t about comfort—it’s about calling. You are a priest of the Most High God. Step into that truth today and live as if eternity depends on it—because someone’s might.
