MAN Up and Make the Invitation — Your First Calling Is to Bring Others to Jesus

John 1:6–7, 41–43, 45 NIV “There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe… The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, ‘We have found the Messiah.’… Jesus said, ‘Follow me.’ Philip found Nathanael and told him, ‘We have found the one Moses wrote about… Jesus of Nazareth.’”

Every man wants his life to matter.
Every man feels the pull between purpose, provision, and priorities.
But long before God calls a man to a career or a paycheck, He calls him to a mission:

Invite people to Jesus.

The world is breaking because men are chasing money while neglecting ministry, chasing comfort while neglecting calling, chasing success while neglecting souls.

But Scripture makes it simple:
A man sent from God invites people back to God.

Reconciliation in the world begins with reconciliation to God.
We will never fix broken relationships, divided communities, or wounded families until men first point people to the only One who can heal the human heart.

This is why the first disciples waste no time:

  • Andrew brings his brother.

  • John brings his friends.

  • Philip brings Nathanael.

  • Jesus finds Philip first.

The movement of God has always advanced one simple way:
One man telling another man about Jesus.

You don’t need a degree.
You don’t need a microphone.
You don’t need a title.

You need a name, a story, and a Savior worth sharing.

Notice where every invitation begins:

At home.
With family.
With friends.
With the men you already know.

You don’t need to reach a thousand strangers before you reach one brother.

God’s Spirit works in the hearts of people—
but God’s people are His chosen messengers.

We do not know who is ready.
We do not know whose heart the Spirit is stirring.
But we will never find out if we stay silent.

God saves, but we speak.
God draws, but we invite.
God transforms, but we testify.

This is the holy partnership of every Christian man.

To call yourself a disciple of Jesus means you help others find and follow Jesus.
These two things—knowing Christ and making Christ known—are inseparable.

Men often say they love God…
but love that never invites is love that never obeys.

You want your life to count?
You want your masculinity to matter?
You want your leadership to have eternal weight?

Start inviting men to Jesus.
It’s the one mission guaranteed to outlast you.

Run Today’s Play: Identify one man in your life—family, friend, coworker, teammate—
and invite him to take one step closer to Jesus.

Send a message.
Share a Scripture.
Tell him your testimony.
Ask how you can pray for him.
Invite him to church or to read Scripture with you.

Don’t wait for perfect timing.
Don’t overthink the response.

Men sent from God open their mouths and trust God with the results.

Invite one man to Jesus.
Your purpose begins with that step.
