Romans 6:15-16, 18, 22 (NIV) “What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.”
Every man lives under authority—whether he admits it or not. You are either ruled by sin or by Christ. There is no neutral ground. The man who offers himself to sin is already enslaved. The man who offers himself to Jesus Christ finds freedom, righteousness, and eternal life.
This is the dividing line for men who want to live with purpose, provision, and priorities aligned with God’s will. Christianity is not a ticket to heaven—it is the pardon of God, won by the blood of Jesus, applied to those who repent of sin, believe in His death and resurrection, and commit to follow Him as disciples.
God’s acceptance of you is not based on your hustle, your success, or your reputation. It rests on the finished work of Christ at the cross. The justice of God was satisfied there. The love of God was revealed there. The grace of God was poured out there. And the man who belongs to Christ obeys Christ—not to earn salvation, but because he has been set free from sin and made alive in God.
This is where so many men stumble. Too many churches excuse or even celebrate the very sins for which Christ died. But a true disciple does not stay in rebellion. He refuses to keep doing or defending what God condemns. He stops pretending to be a child of God and begins living as one—repentant, obedient, strong in holiness.
Men, hear this: the devil believes in God, too. He is religious, but disobedient. He promises shortcuts, but they all lead to death. If your life is marked by ignoring God’s commands, you are not free—you are enslaved. But if your life is surrendered to Christ, your future is secure, your work is holy, and your eternity is certain.
So choose today: Will you obey sin and reap death, or obey Christ and reap life?
A man of God isn’t defined by his past mistakes but by his present obedience. The true test of a man is not what he claims to believe, but whom he chooses to obey.
