John 20:21–23 NIV“ Again Jesus said, ‘Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.’ And with that he breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.’”
Men, if you’re wrestling with purpose, provision, and priorities, here’s the truth: your mission is already assigned. Jesus didn’t send only pastors or missionaries; He sent you. The Great Commission is not a part-time volunteer project—it is the God-given mission of every Christian man.
Jesus came to forgive sin and reconcile people to the Father. Through His perfect life and sacrificial death on the cross, forgiveness and eternal life are offered to everyone who repents and believes. “Faith comes from hearing the message” (Romans 10:17), and someone must speak that message. That someone is you.
This passage is not a papal decree for weekly confession. It’s a call for every Spirit-filled disciple to declare the gospel so others can experience God’s forgiveness. When we remain silent, the world grows darker and more hostile. When we speak and live boldly, the Holy Spirit works through us to set people free.
Run Today’s Play:
-
Repent of passivity. If you’ve ignored Christ’s mission, admit it and ask the Spirit to reignite your heart.
-
Engage your world. Start in your home, then your workplace and neighborhood. Share the hope of Jesus with clarity and courage.
-
Serve sacrificially. Like Christ, love people unconditionally—even when it costs comfort or reputation.
The Holy Spirit lives in you so you can live and work like Jesus—“to seek and save the lost” (Luke 19:10). Your career, your wealth, even your own safety are not your highest priorities. Your mission is.
The time is now. Breathe in the peace Jesus offers, receive His Spirit, and go. Sent men finish their mission. Will you?
