What if God put Trump on our throne of power to remove the forces of evil in Washington and give the forces of good, His Church, time to gather both in number and in courage to engage the mission He commanded, which is the Great Commission? The battle Christians are called to is not of flesh and blood, for God made everyone in His image, loves everyone, so died for everyone as Savior and Lord and therefore desires that no one should perish but all come to everlasting life. The Church battles principalities and powers of darkness, false ideas, and beliefs that have distorted truth, promoted through our universities and media, that have blinded people from believing in God and obeying His commands recorded in scripture. The Church has too long cowered to these ideas and too long compromised with their lies. It is time for the Church to go to war. What does this look like? First, it means God’s people return to Him in repentance for disobedience and disinterest in God and His ways. Second, it means gathering together to know Him through His Word and to do His will, encouraging their brother to walk in obedience to everything Jesus commands. Third, it means taking captive every thought and idea that places itself against God’s truth in the marketplace of ideas. This means speaking the truth of God’s word to everyone in love and helping everyone understand the wisdom and goodness of obedience to God’s ways. Finally, it means serving people to gain an audience for sharing the gospel, so they hear and receive the good news of forgiveness of sins, restoration with God, and everlasting life. The Lord is our King. He calls us to war. It is time to join the battle. Will you comply or continue compromising?
