“Hear the word of the Lord, people of Israel, for the Lord has a case against the inhabitants of the land: There is no truth, no faithful love, and no knowledge of God in the land! Cursing, lying, murder, stealing, and adultery are rampant; one act of bloodshed follows another. For this reason the land mourns, and everyone who lives in it languishes, along with the wild animals and the birds of the sky; even the fish of the sea disappear. But let no one dispute; let no one argue, for my case is against you priests. You will stumble by day; the prophet will also stumble with you by night. And I will destroy your mother. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will reject you from serving as my priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your sons.” Hosea 4:1-6 CSB https://bible.com/bible/1713/hos.4.1-6.CSB
The Church is the leaven in the world whose job is to influence the whole dough. Not everyone will come to Christ, but all those in Christ are to obey everything He has commanded. The Church has failed to make disciples these past 50 years, resulting in a country that is confused and corrupt about holiness, godliness, truth, and righteousness. On the one hand, the false Church’s message promotes sin, and on the other, the true Church condemns sin. The true Church is obscured by the false Church the media loves and encourages. All the while, Jesus and His teachings diminish in the hearts and minds of the people. We who claim to be Christians are to be the true Church. Biblical ignorance is our undoing. Independence is keeping us from productivity and unity of purpose. We are to be people who know God personally and continuously share His love for the world by serving the needs of humanity while calling them to repent from evil and obey holiness. We who claim to be Christian are God’s ambassadors. He is making Himself known through us. We are responsible for the message the culture receives from God. That message is our words, and our deeds proclaimed daily in our relationships with the people in our lives. Christians are to be like Jesus, Who perfectly obeyed every word from His Father while living as a servant to men to bring them eternal life. If we would have a better country, one that reflects more the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven, the people of God must know the word of God to speak its truth and live its commands so that all will know Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords and submit themselves to Him forever.
