There Is No Equal to Jesus

2 Chronicles 32:18–19 NIV Then they called out in Hebrew to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to terrify them and make them afraid in order to capture the city. They spoke about the God of Jerusalem as they did about the gods of the other peoples of the world—the work of human hands.”

Saturday, I stood inside a Hindu temple as worshippers bowed before idols carved from stone—gods that neither see, hear, nor breathe. My guide told me that his goddess Kali was the same as my God Jesus.

But that is a lie.

This morning, before dawn, loudspeakers blared Hindu songs in honor of another idol. Yet Jesus is not one among many gods—He is the only God who left heaven, took on flesh, bore the rebellion of humanity, and satisfied His own justice to pardon sinners.

Paul declared this truth to the philosophers in Athens: “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth… He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything” (Acts 17:24–25).

He reaffirmed it to the Colossians: “By Him all things were created… and in Him all things hold together” (Colossians 1:16–17).

Every false god—every idol, philosophy, and religion—crumbles before the risen Christ. Jesus alone conquered death. He alone has the authority to forgive sin. He alone reigns supreme over every power and principality.

History, archaeology, and science all testify to the truth of Scripture. There is no record of any other god stepping into time, dying for the sins of men, and rising again to prove His divinity.

Men want proof of God? Jesus is that proof.
But only those who open their eyes and humble their hearts will see Him.

Don’t let the world convince you that all gods are the same. Don’t bow to the idols of comfort, career, or culture. Stand firm in the truth that Jesus alone is God—unmatched, unrivaled, and undefeated.

Run today’s play: Live boldly for the One who gave His life for you. Speak His name with courage. Stand your ground in a world that worships what it can build.

Because there is no equal to Jesus.
