Deuteronomy 22.5 commands a woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this.
Transgenderism appears to be an issue dating back to at least the time of Moses for God commanded His people not to participate in such activity.
While perversions from God’s original design for humanity have been part of our history from our earliest days, this doesn’t legitimize the activity but demonstrates our brokenness and need for a Savior.
The Bible speaks of murder being committed by the first son born against the second son born on page 4, yet we have never believed murder to be a legitimate activity!
The last sixty years have seen an assault against the idea of absolute truth which has led us to our current chaos. When we believe there is no God and there is no eternal accountability or consequence for our actions then all actions can be legitimized. Yet all of our activities outside our Maker’s prescription result in our own demise.
God gives us His commands for our welfare and His honor in the world. The Bible portrays God as a loving Maker of humanity Who has a significant purpose for each person that will bring them the identity and fulfillment we so earnestly desire.
The Bible also portrays humanity as rebellious against God and His ways choosing instead our own way to live which constantly results in conflict, pain and suffering for ourselves and others.
The Biblical response to the transgender and homosexual is the same: love the people by urging them back to their Creator Who did not make them to live that way while rejecting their behavior as normal or legitimate.
Men and woman are created in the image of God, distinctly, uniquely and purposely. They have very specific roles, functions, gifts and abilities. When properly operating peace, joy, harmony and unity results.
These past sixty years assault on God and truth have resulted in part with our confusion over who we are and what we are to be about. The Bible clearly defines the value and purpose of men and women.
Until we humble ourselves and reconnect to our Creator Whom we trust knows what is best for us, we will continue to witness all kinds of perversions leading to destruction.
