What Reward Will You Receive In Heaven?

“The nations were angry, but your wrath has come. The time has come for the dead to be judged and to give the reward to your servants the prophets, to the saints, and to those who fear your name, both small and great, and the time has come to destroy those who destroy the earth. Then the temple of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant appeared in his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder, an earthquake, and severe hail.” Revelation 11:18-19 CSB https://bible.com/bible/1713/rev.11.18-19.CSB

When Jesus determines the eternal destiny of every person, two things will occur during the judgment to come. First, those who ignored Jesus, those who disobeyed Jesus consistently, and those who rejected Him as Savior and Lord on earth will be cast into eternal torment and suffering forever. They will receive their desire to be away from God and His people forever, and they will be in misery and suffering forever. Those who loved Jesus always sought to obey Jesus and worshipped Jesus among men on earth will receive their reward for their work in heaven. Jesus invites us to store up treasure in heaven. When all the saints from all times are receiving their reward, what will we receive? The most significant work we can do is bring people to Jesus so that they recognize Him as their Savior and Lord. The next most significant work we can do is to teach every believer to obey everything Jesus commands. This is the work of the Great Commission and is the mission of every Christian. Other significant works are caring for the physical needs of people on earth who reflect the image of God in Jesus in heaven. Helping others is helping Jesus. We can also give generously to the work others are doing to spread the gospel, for Jesus warns us that we should be rich toward God with our available resources after taking care of our own needs. We are encouraged to be rich with love and good deeds, for an eternal reward awaits all those but only those who worked diligently, passionately, and consistently for the glory of God on earth as it is in heaven by following Jesus, Who served God and men while seeking and saving the lost.
