Without Contact, There’s No Impact — Why Real Men Go and Make Disciples

Matthew 28:18–20 (NIV) “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’”

Every man wants to live with purpose — to know his work matters, his leadership counts, and his life leaves an eternal mark. Jesus made that purpose clear: go and make disciples.

All four Gospels and the book of Acts — the first five books of the New Testament — carry this same command. It’s not a suggestion for pastors or missionaries. It’s a mandate for every man who calls Jesus Lord.

The command is simple:
Go. Baptize. Teach.

We go to people — not wait for them to come to us.
We lead them to faith in Jesus — symbolized by baptism.
Then we disciple them — teaching them to obey everything Jesus commanded.

A true disciple — and a Christian can be nothing less — lives on mission to bring others to faith and obedience to Christ.

But too many of us have traded the Great Commission for the Great Isolation.
We stay home, stay comfortable, stay silent. We work remote, worship online, and rarely engage the lost around us. Meanwhile, our culture drifts deeper into darkness because the Church refuses to go where people are.

Men, this is sin.
When we refuse to engage the lost, we disobey the clear command of Jesus. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” That means the One who commands us to go has the right to send us — and the power to go with us.

If we’re under His authority, we go.
If we refuse, we rebel.

Going is not optional.
Where we go is the only question — across the street, across the office, or across the ocean. But we must go.

Without contact, there is no impact.

We show the greatest love for our neighbor when we lay down our laziness and fear to share the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ. People cannot enter the kingdom of God unless they are born again — and they can’t believe unless someone tells them.

So, men — if you’re truly a disciple, get out of the house. Go to your office. Go to your job site. Go to the gym, the golf course, the coffee shop, wherever lost people live — and help them find Jesus.

The Great Commission is our mission.
Failure to go isn’t just a missed opportunity — it’s an eternal tragedy.

How will they hear unless we go?

Stop waiting for people to come to church.
Be the Church that goes to people.
