Belief Determines Behavior

But as for you, communicate the behavior that goes with sound teaching…… It trains us to reject godless ways and worldly desires and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,” Titus 2:1, 12 NET https://bible.com/bible/107/tit.2.1-12.NET

My life’s purpose is to help others know Jesus as Savior and obey His commands as their Lord. The Bible is the source of all truth about Who God is, what God has done, and what He requires of humanity. The Scripture must be taught and the source that all who want to love God must be drawn toward for knowing Him and obeying His commands. The Scripture will command us to think and live differently from the world. We must decide what is true. We must choose between the university and the media and their worldview and Scripture and God’s point of view for determining who we are and how we are to live. The former rejects God, so their worldview encourages self-indulgent living. The Scripture is God’s instruction to us and every generation so that all people in all places can know Him and prepare themselves to meet Him when He calls all humanity to judge them according to His instructions given to us in the Scriptures. Our behavior reflects our belief, and our belief reflects our deepest thinking. Our thinking is influenced by the voices we allow into our hearts and minds. We either saturate ourselves with God’s word, believing Him to be true and what He says to be right, then orient our lives around obedience to His commands, or we believe the university and social media and seek to please ourselves and the world it describes. If God exists, then we are fools to do anything other than align ourselves with His ways and His will so that we stand before Him blessed and welcomed into eternal dwelling places.
