Christianity Is No Place For The NPC

“Don’t fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul; rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. “Therefore, everyone who will acknowledge me before others, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever denies me before others, I will also deny him before my Father in heaven. Don’t assume that I came to bring peace on the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household. And whoever doesn’t take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.” Matthew 10:28, 32-36, 38 CSB https://bible.com/bible/1713/mat.10.28-38.CSB

I read a great article yesterday that referenced too many Christian men as NPC’s. I did not know what this was, so I googled it and learned it means nonplayer character. This is a person in a video game who can’t be employed. Too many Christians have been NPC’s these past fifty years, resulting in an immoral country and weak church. NPC parenting continues to produce college students who ignore God and revile this nation. These people then become our government and business leaders, increasing the corruption and greed we experience daily in the news feeds that are also tilted by godless people seeking to drive us away from all that God requires. Is every Christian an NPC? Every parent, every government leader, every business owner? Of course not. But too many are, as we see all around us. The solution? Become a true disciple and make disciples. Love God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength, proven by laying down our lives so that our neighbor, whom we love as ourselves, can see, feel, and hear about Jesus through our service and testimony. We must share Jesus, making every effort to win every person to Jesus while teaching and living in full obedience to all of His commands. God’s ways offend people because He is God, and we are not. Like the rebellious toddler against their parent’s wisdom, we rebel against God’s wisdom and good teaching. Yet those who know God, those who love Jesus, those who claim to be His disciples, must engage everyone with the truth of the gospel to continue Jesus’ work of seeking and saving the lost to reconcile every person to God. There will be no NPC’s in the kingdom of God, so there must be none on earth. We are only losing because we are not playing.
