Ezekiel 11:18–21 (NIV) “They will return to it and remove all its vile images and detestable idols. I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God. But as for those whose hearts are devoted to their vile images and detestable idols, I will bring down on their own heads what they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.” Ezekiel 11:18-21
This promise was fulfilled through Jesus Christ, Who—by His resurrection—released the Holy Spirit to live within everyone who calls on His name for salvation. The book of Acts proves this truth: the Spirit came to dwell in believers, guaranteeing our future inheritance while transforming us now into the likeness of Jesus.
Israel believed in God but lacked the power to obey Him. The Church today faces a similar danger—believing about God but not surrendering to God. True faith is not intellectual agreement but daily submission to the Holy Spirit, Who empowers us to live out the commands of Jesus.
That process begins with repentance—the total removal of every idol that competes with God’s rule over our lives. Before we can serve Christ, we must surrender what used to sit on the throne of our hearts: pride, pleasure, possessions, and power.
If there is no repentance from sin, there can be no salvation from sin.
Repentance is not just confession—it’s change. It’s recognizing we’ve done what God forbids and failed to do what God commands. It’s choosing obedience over comfort, surrender over control, and holiness over popularity.
When we repent, God replaces our cold, divided heart with one that beats for Him alone. Then we can live as true disciples—men who don’t just admire Jesus but imitate Him. Jesus lived to serve, to sacrifice, and to save. So must we.
This is what it means to love God most: to love people enough to share the gospel, to call them to repentance, and to help them obey everything Jesus commands. The love of God is not mere acceptance; it’s an invitation to transformation—a call to turn from sin and live for His glory.
If the Holy Spirit truly lives in us, there will be proof: lives wholly devoted to Jesus. Men who serve, give, and go until all people everywhere know, repent, and obey Him as Lord.
Identify and remove one idol that’s dividing your heart.
Confess it. Surrender it. Replace it with obedience.
Men, God doesn’t need more religious talk; He’s calling for warriors with undivided hearts—men who walk in repentance, live in power, and fight for His kingdom with courage and conviction.
Run today’s play: Repent deeply. Obey fully. Love sacrificially.
Be the man God can use—strong, steady, and Spirit-filled.
