“And foreigners who bind themselves to the Lord to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to be his servants, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant— these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” The Sovereign Lord declares— he who gathers the exiles of Israel: “I will gather still others to them besides those already gathered.”” Isaiah 56:6-8 NIV https://bible.com/bible/111/isa.56.6-8.NIV
Amazingly, it has always been difficult for the Jews to believe God’s plan has always been for the world through them and not just for them. The Apostles struggled with this perspective, as evidenced by the recordings in Acts. Yet God has always loved the world because He created it and everyone in it. The Church, too, has sometimes wrestled in its history with welcoming all people, especially people of color, though most of the world is brown, and no doubt Jesus Himself was brown. God loves everyone and is welcome to come to Him, but we must come on His terms when we come. God says when we come to Him and love Him, bind ourselves to Him, serve His interests, and obey His rules, He will accept and welcome us into His eternal kingdom with all those who have done the same from all over the world. God’s love for everyone is not permissive love for everyone to do as they please. God’s love for everyone includes anyone who will come to Him through Jesus the Savior for reconciliation with God. A relationship with God can only be secured through the work of Jesus by faith in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus demonstrated by living as Jesus did in a relationship with all those who seek to do the same while working with them to see everyone reconciled to God from every tribe and nation. God the Creator has always loved the world, but the world has always rebelled against Him. Nevertheless, God has come to earth to restore the world to Himself, making eternal life possible with Him, but only for those who live according to His commands.
