The One True God loves to forgive, He loves to pardon, He loves to redeem. God is holy, so He must punish evil, and all disobedience to God is evil, making us all evildoers. God has punished evil in Jesus Who came as God to take the sins of man upon Himself as man so that God can be just in punishing and just in pardoning all who come to Him in Jesus. This is our greatest disobedience, ignoring and rejecting God’s love for us through Jesus instead of seeking our own god and our own way to heaven. There is no other way to be reconciled to God apart from Jesus. We only need to humble ourselves before God, admit we have disobeyed Him, ask His forgiveness for our disobedience, and then love Him in Jesus with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Simple and easy, yet most difficult, is the way of living as Jesus lived, which is the goal of our reconciliation. Once pardoned, we are now free to please God as best we can as much as we can without fear of failure. When we are restored to God’s love, we are free from condemnation from God. We obey God because He is good, His ways are best and right, and we love Him. We need not fear the wrath of God if we will run to the love of God personified in Jesus the Savior.
