Acts 14:15–16, 21–22 NIV “Friends, why are you doing this? We too are only human, like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and everything in them. In the past, he let all nations go their own way… They preached the gospel in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. ‘We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,’ they said.”
Christian men, the gospel demands more than quiet belief—it demands courageous obedience. Paul and Barnabas called people to turn from “worthless things” to the living God, and they warned that hardship is the path into His kingdom. That call hasn’t changed.
1. Share the Gospel—No Excuses
God’s love is both unconditional and uncompromising. Jesus commands us to “go and make disciples”—not as an option but as the mission of every man who follows Him. If we will not speak, how will our children, friends, and neighbors ever hear and believe? Silence is disobedience.
2. Expect Suffering, Bear Fruit
Christ suffered because He declared Himself Messiah and Savior. When we boldly confess Him, we share His sufferings and gain His inheritance. If we claim to follow Christ but have no gospel fruit and no scars from the battle, we must ask: are we truly His disciples or just fans?
3. Lead Your Family to Eternal Life
Fathers, don’t settle for temporary peace at home while your children drift toward eternal separation. Many men stay silent to keep family harmony, forgetting that without repentance and faith their loved ones will not share eternity with them. Better an uncomfortable dinner conversation now than endless regret later.
4. Choose God’s Peace Over Man’s
Christianity is not about fitting in or avoiding conflict. It calls everyone to turn from empty religion or no religion at all and follow Jesus alone. Will you seek the fragile peace of today or the unshakable peace with God that lasts forever?
Brother, reject the lie that comfort is your highest calling. Love as God loves—unconditionally and without compromise. Share the gospel with boldness, even when it costs you. Strengthen your household in truth. Suffer well, bear fruit, and lead those you love to the Savior who alone gives life.
Today’s Play: This week, speak the gospel to at least one person you fear losing. Pray for courage, then obey. Eternal destinies are at stake.
