Isaiah 62.10-12 commands, walk out of the gates. Get going! Get the road ready for the people. Build the highway. Get at it! Clear the debris, hoist high a flag, a signal to all peoples! Yes! God has broadcast to all the world: “Tell daughter Zion, ‘Look! Your Savior comes, Ready to do what he said He’d do, prepared to complete what He promised.’” Zion will be called new names: Holy People, God-Redeemed, Sought-Out, City-Not-Forsaken. MSG
What is our job as God’s laborer? Do you see yourself as His laborer, His servant? We are to go, to get the road ready, to build the highway, to clear debris from the road, to lift high a flag, a signal for all peoples. Why? So when God calls the nations they know the way to go.
God calls the people, they come to Him driven by His Spirit. We do not call the masses, but we do invite them to come and see, to hear and believe. We do not beg or push the people to come, but we serve and love encouraging them to come to Him Who alone can heal their troubled soul. We are to make the road ready, the way to God obvious and clear, for when God calls them.
This means we must make known the opportunity for finding the One True God for those He calls. When He calls, they need to see the road, see the flag, so they can follow it home to Him. We must be available. We must be visible. We must be clear of debris, that is, free from other messages besides the message of reconciliation to God through Jesus the Savior.
Our focus must be creating and maintaining an unobstructed way for knowing Jesus as Savior. Likewise, we must pray, we must give God no rest, until He fulfills His will to save all men, for surely He desires no one to perish but for all to come to saving faith
