Reconcile With God In This Life Before The Judgment Of The Next Life

“I overthrew some of you as I overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were like a burning stick snatched from a fire, yet you did not return to me  — This is the Lord’s declaration. Therefore, Israel, that is what I will do to you, and since I will do that to you, Israel, prepare to meet your God! He is here: the one who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to man, the one who makes the dawn out of darkness and strides on the heights of the earth. The Lord, the God of Armies, is his name.” Amos 4:11-13 CSB https://bible.com/bible/1713/amo.4.12.CSB

Everyone who believes in God believes they will meet their god after they die for reward and judgment of their lives lived on earth. This belief is fundamental to all religions, even those who practice no religion but still believe in a god. The demons believe too and shudder, for they know the One True God, Who He is, and the wrath He has determined for all those who ignore Him and disobey His commands. This is the chief sin of humanity; not loving God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Practically, this means making every effort to know and please Him. Is this how we seek and serve the One True God? Failure is final in reconciling to God and pleasing Him, for this life is the only life in which we must prepare ourselves for judgment. So what should we do if we truly please God and receive His good reward, which is life forever in health, joy, and abundance with Him and all those who have also loved Him most and first in this world? We must repent from ignoring and disobeying God. We must pursue Jesus coming to fully understand, accept, and trust that only His perfect life sacrificed on the cross can be substituted as punishment for my disobedience to God and that His resurrection from the dead appropriates His perfect life so that I am declared righteous by God not by any good works of my own but only through His perfect life that He lived from birth to death on the cross. Finally, I must obey everything Jesus commands, indicating before God and man that I belong to Him as a servant just as He lived on earth as a servant of His Father. His commands are that I join Him in loving humanity as I love myself for sharing this pardon God offers all humanity from His wrath to come if we will all but repent, believe, and obey Jesus by following Him.
