For although we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh, since the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments and every proud thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ. And we are ready to punish any disobedience, once your obedience is complete.” 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 CSB https://bible.com/bible/1713/2co.10.3-6.CSB
Perhaps the greatest sin from the perspective of our current culture is the sin of intolerance. Moral acceptance of everyone is the current gospel, allowing everyone to do as they please based on their views. To declare moral absolutes is to be intolerant, bigoted, homophobic, and therefore a person to be isolated, despised, and neutralized. Christians must ignore such feelings and words from these perverts of truth and righteousness, for their rhetoric is merely their means for stopping the conversation, for keeping away debate, so they can continue to preach their moral rot that corrupts and destroys people. Christians are at war with every thought, idea, and promotion that places itself above the Lordship of Jesus Christ, Who is King of kings, Lord of lords, the only God and Savior of the world. Only one way to heaven exists, only one gospel is true, only one God reigns, and He has revealed Himself to us in Jesus the Lord, demanding every knee bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord. This offends people because we are arrogant and proud. We desire to be god, wanting our own will and way to reign, but it doesn’t, nor can it, for we are mere men and not gods. It is our duty as Christians to speak truth to the world. We love our neighbor best when we tell our neighbor the truth about himself, God, and reconciliation with God for living forever in blessed eternity. Christians are at war with the culture. They have always been at war with the culture, for the culture reflects our inherent nature of rebellion against God. If we are not speaking for Christ in the culture, we are not participating as active soldiers for Christ in the culture, and if we are not part of the Lord’s army, then whose side are we truly on?
