“I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one. So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
— Ezekiel 22:30-31 NIV
God searched for a man.
One man who would stand in the breach, defend the truth, protect the people, and plead for mercy.
He found no one.
Israel’s men had become passive, distracted, and idolatrous—consumed with comfort, profit, and pleasure. Their failure to stand for righteousness invited God’s judgment and cost them their nation.
Sound familiar?
Like ancient Israel, America has drifted.
Our idols are not carved from wood or stone but built from money, status, entertainment, and self. Injustice grows, morality collapses, and violence spreads. Meanwhile, the Church has lost her influence, and far too many Christian men have lost their mission.
Men were made to stand in the gap—to build, to protect, to lead—but many have grown quiet, isolated, or indifferent. We’ve traded spiritual leadership for worldly comfort and left the walls of faith and family unguarded.
That’s why the new mission, vision, and values of the Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC) matter so much right now.
Our calling is not just to gather men—it’s to deploy them as disciples in the marketplace until all men everywhere follow Jesus and live in obedience to His commands.
This is more than a statement.
It’s a summons—a call to war for the souls of men, the strength of the Church, and the future of our nation.
God told Ezekiel He was finished with idolatry and injustice. He judged Israel because no man would stand.
But today, God is still searching—for men who will stand before Him on behalf of their families, their businesses, and their land.
The mission of CBMC is clear:
-
Reach men for Christ.
-
Equip men to live as disciples.
-
Deploy men to make more disciples.
This is not a hobby. It’s a holy calling. Failure means further decay in our culture. Success means revival—God’s kingdom increasing on earth as it is in heaven.
Every man who names the name of Jesus must decide what kind of man he will be:
-
A spectator who watches the walls crumble, or
-
A soldier who takes his place in the gap.
Men, today’s play is simple but costly:
-
Stand up where you are. Your home, your work, your city—this is your wall.
-
Lay down your idols. Reject comfort, greed, and compromise that keep you passive.
-
Seek God daily. Get in His Word, stay on your knees, and walk in the Spirit.
-
Make disciples. Find one man you can invest in. Teach him to follow Jesus as you do.
-
Stay faithful. The battle for this generation is not won by strength but by steadfast obedience.
God is still looking for men who will build the wall and stand in the gap.
Let Him find you there—courageous, prayerful, and obedient.
This is our moment.
Run Today’s Play Let’s lead, live, and love like disciples of Jesus until every man knows Him.
