The American Christian’s Responsibility To The World

“He is not impressed by the strength of a horse; he does not value the power of a warrior. The Lord values those who fear him, those who put their hope in his faithful love. Exalt the Lord, Jerusalem; praise your God, Zion! ….He declares his word to Jacob, his statutes and judgments to Israel. He has not done this for every nation; they do not know his judgments. Hallelujah!” Psalms 147:10-12, 19-20 CSB https://bible.com/bible/1713/psa.147.19.CSB

America has been blessed because America was founded by people who wanted to worship God freely and freely serve Him as they believed the Scriptures taught. Their blessings came through suffering and hard work, even as the Lord Jesus learned obedience through what He suffered. They prospered because they persevered in seeking God and serving Him while working hard with the gifts and talents He provided. Yet money and power, health and wealth, are not the true indicators of God’s blessings. The Lord values those who are godly and who obey His commands. Those who serve Him, love others sacrificially, give generously, and share His good news continuously are those whom the Lord takes pleasure, the true brothers and sisters of God. Like Israel, America has been greatly blessed with the knowledge and presence of Almighty God, unlike any other nation in history. With that blessing comes the responsibility to diligently serve God, obey His commands, and make Him known in the world. This responsibility with His blessings has been sorely neglected these past fifty years. We must repent, turn from our wicked ways, seek the Lord, and obey His commands. The Church must now arise and purify their hearts from the apathy and lethargy of not loving God first and foremost. The Church must win back the soul of America by preaching the gospel, sacrificing ourselves by serving others, giving ourselves to pursuing God, and striving with all of our effort to make visible through our deeds and audible through our words Jesus and His commands recorded for us in His word. Our mission, the Great Commission, is for which we have been blessed and shall be held responsible.
