The Church Must Place God’s Word as Their Standard of Living, Explaining Who We Are, Where We Come from, and the Purpose of Our Lives.

“The mindset of the flesh is hostile to God because it does not submit to God’s law. Indeed, it is unable to do so. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him. Now if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, then he who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to life through his Spirit who lives in you.”

Most of the world does not love God in Jesus the Savior or submit themselves to His rule in their lives. Most of our government officials, media journalists, and university professors deny Jesus is the only God and only Savior of the world. These people have minds hostile to God because they are not submitted to God. They do not live lives pleasing to God because they are neither workers nor advocates for the kingdom of God upon earth as it is in heaven. Why do Christians listen to them as though they speak the truth about the world? They deny the Creator, so they insist upon evolutionary beginnings. We listen. They deny the Author of life and so promote abortion. We listen. They deny God’s predetermined destiny for the life of humanity, so they encourage becoming whoever you want to be. We listen. They deny God’s generous provision of all we need so promote ridiculous environmental policies. We listen. The church must place God’s word as their standard of living, explaining who we are, where we come from, and the purpose of our lives. We must stop living like the worldly and live like Jesus, Who came to do the will of His Father by seeking and saving the lost through loving unconditionally and sacrificially so that all of humanity can be reconciled to God. If we are truly children of God, God lives inside us by His Spirit, Who directs us to His Scripture so that we can know the One True God and obey His commands. This means we will think differently and live differently from those who deny God.
