Deuteronomy 7.26 commands, do not bring any detestable objects into your home, for then you will be destroyed, just like them. You must utterly detest such things, for they are set apart for destruction.

The people of God are to reflect the character and nature of God. The Bible puts it this way, we are to be holy as God is holy.
