Romans 6.13 commands, do not offer any parts of (your body) to sin as weapons for unrighteousness. But as those who are alive from the dead, offer yourselves to God, and all the parts of yourselves to God as weapons for righteousness.

Christians must see themselves in a spiritual battle. We see the results of this battle all around us when we see men doing evil. The increase of wickedness in the world, is the loss of this battle by Christians who are to be engaging this battle for good as salt, light and leaven in the world.

The battle begins against self, against our own flesh and its evil desires. By the power of the Holy Spirit, through the Word of God, we obey Jesus, putting to death our old way of living and instead choosing to live as Jesus did. Likewise we wage war in the culture by taking captive every thought that places itself against the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

We must share truth, the gospel in the marketplace, in the public square and in the home, turning men from darkness to light. We are to stand against all that is evil, not with sword, but with word and deed, being willing to lay down our lives for the sake of righteousness. We are to call out that which offends God and we are to call men to that which pleases God our Savior just as Jesus did.

Jesus saw Satan fall from the sky as the disciples proclaimed the gospel, so too, we Christians are to live as Jesus did, proclaiming to all men everywhere the need to repent and follow Jesus as Lord.
