Do You Love God, Then You Must Love Scripture?

“and you return to Yahweh your God and listen to His voice with all your heart and soul according to all that I am commanding you today, you and your sons,”  (Deuteronomy 30:2 LSB)

How do we know we really love God? We have a thirst for God expressed in a hunger for the word of God. The Bible is God’s voice to us, made clear for us, by His Spirit Who lives within us, if we are in love with Him. The current confusion among Christians on all things moral is a result of our ignorance of God’s word which is so clear. This recent court reversal of Roe v Wade is a perfect example. Why have Christians so long opposed the murder of the unborn child? Because the Bible, God’s Word, teaches clearly that He forms each person in the womb and that God Himself predestined the birth of every person to so the works He wanted them personally to accomplish. Christians reject evolution as our explanation for occupying this earth. The Bible clearly teaches we are intentionally created by the Creator Who loves us and gave His life for us so that we can live forever with Him. Ignorance of God’s word makes man’s opinion the point of argument. So many in the church are confused over the value of human life and the identity of that life. There is no such confusion in Scripture. God does not want us ignorant of Him our His good will for us. But we must return to Him and seek Him to know the truth for the truth will set us free. The Scripture is the Word of God, where we hear the voice of God, as the Spirit of God reveals the heart of God to us so we can know Him and love Him forever.
