If we are indeed Christians, if Jesus truly lives within us by His Spirit, if we have been born again and filled by the Spirit of God, then our lives will reflect a change from what they once were. Everyday human existence worships something and someone other than the One True God. We are pleasure and power seekers born in rebellion against God and man. We want our way, and that way must please us. When we are born again, we put away the idol of self and stuff to worship the One True God. We worship Him by serving Him, doing His work in the world for His glory and honor in the world. His work establishes His kingdom upon the earth as it is in heaven. His work is the seeking and saving of the lost, for God loves the world and gave His Son to save the world so that men would not be condemned with the world, for God takes no delight in the permanent death of anyone. The work of God is assigned to the people of God and must be accomplished if people are to escape the wrath to come. Since we are born rebels against God and prove our rebellion against God daily in our disobedience to God, we shall be condemned unless God has pardoned us through repentance and faith in the Son of God, Who loves us and gave His life for us. We must all be born again to enter heaven. The true children of God are those who no longer worship themselves but worship Jesus, proven through their commitment to helping others become children of God.
