Jesus is the Old Covenant’s fulfillment and the New Covenant’s Initiator. The Old Covenant promises, and ways are completed in Jesus as pronounced by John the Baptist. Jesus, God Himself, has come and pronounced the new way of faith in Him, and everyone is urged to follow Him. The kingdom of God is the rule of Jesus in heaven and on earth and upon the future new earth. He, as Messiah, as God, has fulfilled every word of the Old Covenant promise God made to Abraham and His subsequent prophets. The New Covenant, the kingdom of God, does not rule with allowance for men to sin but is the rebirth of original intent so that no more divorce, no more death, and no more suffering exists, beginning today but completing upon Jesus’ return to reign permanently upon the new earth. God is reasserting Himself as King and ruler of all on earth, starting with the establishment of the New Covenant to be proclaimed by His church urging everyone to enter in so that when He returns, His house is full, there are people from every tribe, and tongue and nation, coming to Him to worship Him and praise Him for allowing them to be part of the family of God even as He foretold to Abraham that through him would come the blessing to all nations.
