This world believes that almost everyone will go to heaven. Most people think they’re good and so deserve a welcome into heaven by God. But the Scriptures repeatedly teach otherwise. Men are not good. They are born corrupt, rebellious against God, and disobedient to His ways. Children must be disciplined to become disciples if they are to know and follow the One True God. Everyone must be born again to enter the kingdom of heaven. The way is narrow, difficult is the path that leads to life, and few are upon it, God says in His word. The sin of all humanity is their failure to repent before Jesus as Savior, obey Him as Lord, and follow Him now in the building of His kingdom upon the earth as it is in heaven. People who think they are good define themselves by their lack of evil, like murder, but are ignorant of their greatest sin, which is the refusal to recognize Jesus as their God and obey everything Jesus commanded. The Lord waits to establish His residency upon the earth as it is in heaven, for there are few who will enter into eternal life with Him meaning there is still much room at His table for those who would repent and follow Him.
