Peace with God or peace with men?

Christians have to choose

“It is enough for the disciple that he may become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they insult the members of his household! “So do not fear them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the darkness, tell in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim on the housetops. And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. “Therefore, everyone who confesses Me before people, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before people, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven. “Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.”

Matthew 10:25-28, 32-34 NASB2020

In these days christians must decide with whom they desire peace, with men or God. If with men then we should remain silent about the things of God for it is His Word and His ways that men despise. God calls evil that which is against His will revealed in His word and demands that men repent of evil or suffer the eternal consequences of punishment in hell for refusing to acknowledge Him as God by obeying everything He has commanded us. This demand for repentance and obedience causes some to chaff before God and His witnesses, this chaffing results in persecution of whatever kind those denying God can bring against God’s witness. In America they can bring the cancel culture, shutdown social media accounts, deny jobs, deny advertising, malign in the media and otherwise try and humiliate and devastate the person who proclaims the will of God found in the word of God. This is the destiny of the person who seeks peace with God. The faithful person of God identifies with Jesus and makes the way of Jesus known to a culture going the opposite way. As a result of their witness some will repent, some will turn back to God which is the will of God and the very reason the Christian is commanded to witness. But others will refuse to hear, refuse to obey and desire to end the message that causes them conviction and condemns their ways before God. Jesus too suffered at the hands of men and promises His people who identify with Him before men will likewise suffer now but will be rewarded later by God Himself. The culture darkens only because those who are of the light refuse to shine brightly before men fearing more men who threaten to put out their light than God Who alone can banish men to utter darkness forever. Christians must choose whom they will please, God or men, the choice has never been more clear nor the need for bold and courageous christians more necessary.
