Pilgrims Or Residents In This World?

““How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked?…l I said, “You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High. However, you will die like humans and fall like any other ruler.” Rise up, God, judge the earth, for all the nations belong to you.” Psalms 82:2, 6-8 CSB https://bible.com/bible/1713/psa.82.2-8.CSB

How do we judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? By not preaching the gospel, by refusing to counter the immoral and godless teachings of our media, university, businesses, and even, in some instances,  the church. God has made His church responsible for proclaiming the gospel to all nations and teaching obedience to everything He has commanded us. Our failure to refute the immoral beliefs of the culture places the church in judgment before God for disobedience to carry out our ordained responsibility. We are children of God, our future is secure, and our present is in His hands, so why do we fear men? Do we love pleasure and approval from men more than the approval of God? The culture’s arrogance toward God and boldness to defy His ways results from the church remaining silent against its evil and wanting compromise with the world more than obedience to God. To live like Jesus, to follow Him, is to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and, like Him, find ourselves often alone with God in an increasingly hostile world. The faithful will be welcomed into the kingdom of God by the joy of the Master to receive the eternal reward like the Son as co-heirs of Jesus. God’s will or man’s approval is the battle. The reward is acceptance now or a reward later. We can live like men or choose to live as children of God.
