Discipline is the Key to Successful Relationships

Proverbs 1.3 teaches that their purpose is to teach people to live disciplined and successful lives, to help them do what is right, just, and fair. This teaching refers to the purpose of the Proverbs, the wiseimages sayings written predominantly by the wisest person to ever live.

What is the key to wisdom? The key to living a wise life is to live a life of discipline. A simple answer really to a simple question. The doing of the answer is what we find immensely difficult. (more…)

What Identifies Christian Parenting?

The goal of Christian parenting is to raise godly children.

Its an outcome parents don’t control which means success or failure are not entirely dependent upon the parent. Children, like parents, are given the ability to choose for themselves which god they will serve.

Parents are God’s agents for moving the odds in His favor if they are faithful to obey His commands and teach them to His and their, children. (more…)

The purpose of parenting is to raise godly offspring.

Fantastic conversion stories, while entertaining to listen to, were not to be the normal experience for most people.

Most people who follow Jesus should have as their personal story of trusting Jesus as their Savior something along the lines of being raised in a godly home where Jesus was seen, taught and heard such that we could never not remember believing in Him and one day I simply decided to follow Him as my Lord.
