There is only one God. All other gods are manufactured by people. We must worship something other than ourselves, though we worship ourselves continuously from birth. Yet we know there is Someone else, Someone greater than ourselves, Who brought us here, sustains us while we are here, and will bring us to Himself to move us from this life to the next life. We know these things because the One True God has placed the hardwiring for connecting to Him in our hearts. Born disconnected from God, we must be brought into a relationship with God through Jesus the Savior. Ignoring Jesus, we connect to other gods that pleasure us more and seem more inclined to our own wants and needs. These are not gods but a means we create to continue to allow ourselves to believe in what is false so that we feel justified in our disobedience to the ways of the One True God. Studying any of the world’s religions and comparing them to Jesus in the Bible makes plainly evident the other religions are false. Remaining lazy to understand these things places ourselves in jeopardy on that day we meet the One True God Who will determine our eternity by our response to His revelation through Jesus, God as man. There are no other gods but Jesus, and those who love Jesus and seek Him diligently will be filled by Him, becoming unshakeable in their devotion to Him, knowing beyond any doubt that He is and that He rewards forever those who earnestly seek Him.
