Hebrews 10:10, 14, 17, 26, 32-34 NIV records, “And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all….For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy…..Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”…. If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,….Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.” https://bible.com/bible/111/heb.10.14-34.NIV
The death of Jesus on the cross was the means for pardoning all humanity who have sinned against God. Jesus, God Himself, took upon His body the punishment for all the sins all humanity has ever done against God. God crucified Him for us so that upon His resurrection, He could pardon us for all our sins and make us holy. God’s justice has been satisfied, and man’s evil has been dealt with so that man could be restored to God. This restoration is for all those but only those who humble themselves before God, seek His forgiveness through Jesus and believe that Jesus pardons sinners forever proven by His resurrection from the dead. Now, those who are truly pardoned, who have been declared by God to be holy and perfect, no longer stained by sin, cease doing the evil that caused Christ to be crucified and suffer for identifying with Jesus publicly. Those who are truly children of God live as God lived among us in Jesus the Savior. We are holy and righteous as He is holy and righteous. This is why we do not support the homosexual agenda. This is why we are pro-life and reject the justification for the murder of the unborn for any reason. This is why we hate divorce, for God gave marriage for the production of godly offspring. In standing with Jesus, we suffer as Jesus suffered. Those still in rebellion against God hate God’s ways, and those who love Him. If people are not maligning us or worse for standing with Jesus, perhaps we are too silent or too compromising so that we do not appear to be with Him. The child of God lives a holy life marked by obedience to Jesus and disdain by those who love darkness more than the light.
