How Christians Are To Do Ministry

“You are witnesses, and so is God, of how devoutly, righteously, and blamelessly we conducted ourselves with you believers……we encouraged, comforted, and implored each one of you to walk worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.” 1 Thessalonians 2:10, 12 CSB https://bible.com/bible/1713/1th.2.10-12.CSB

How is ministry to be done? Those who are vocationally engaged, but all who call Jesus Lord are to be occupationally involved, and they are to conduct themselves devoutly, righteously, and blamelessly while encouraging, comforting, and imploring other believers to walk worthy of God. In this way, the church is built up in holiness and righteousness, making the appeal of the gospel all of us are sharing attractive and desired by the masses who hear our words and see our deeds, finding themselves convicted and convinced by the Holy Spirit to likewise repent and follow Jesus. The Christian worker, all of whom we are in Christ for we are a kingdom of priests, are to seek God earnestly, or devoutly, and obey Him completely so that we are righteous and blameless before God and man. As we turn to our brother, we encourage the same behavior, comforting one another when we fail or suffer for living for Jesus while imploring one another to not lose heart, not grow weary, but to press in further so that we may press on longer in living for Jesus and making Him known in the world until everyone everywhere confesses Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Simple but not easy. It is past time that the church embraces such a view of themselves, for the world desperately needs Jesus.
