Matthew 24.12 describes, because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold.

Disobedience to God leads to dishonor of men. It is only the One True God Who commands humanity to love our neighbor as ourselves. The false gods of the world’s numerous religions consistently allow certain groups of humans to justifiably kill other humans.

We want to obey this command to love all other people only when we love God first, with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. We need to be commanded to love because we are inherently selfish.

Therefore we train our children, we create laws in society, and we are to hold accountable within the Church, the command to love God and to love our neighbor. Practically this looks like doing what is best for our neighbor, treating them as we ourselves would like to be treated, serving and sacrificing ourselves for the good of others.

Our society finds itself increasingly hostile to one another. The direct result of teaching our children at public school, of printing and speaking in our news media these past seventy years, that there is no God, that the Bible is myth and that Christians are bigoted, ignorant, and intolerant.

We will not see a better more loving society until we see our society turning to the One True God in allegiance and service demonstrated by obedience to His commands. Loving God and others has never been easy but it has always been the hallmark of the good, the best and the greatest humanitarians.

The  Christian Bible alone declares God is love. God in Jesus alone, commands all people everywhere to love Him and to love one another. Why then is there so much hate toward Christianity, Jesus and the Bible?
