The Cure For What Ails Us

““Your own evil will chastise you, And your acts of faithlessness will reprove you; Know therefore and see that it is evil and bitter For you to forsake Yahweh your God, And the dread of Me is not in you,” declares Lord Yahweh of hosts.”  (Jeremiah 2:19 LSB) https://accordance.bible/link/read/LSB#Jer._2:19

America, founded by Christian people to become a land free for all people to worship the One True God in the manner they believed honored Him most as recorded in the Scriptures. This worship of God was easy for this land was large and abundant in everything people needed to survive and thrive. The abundance of resources in combination with the admonition in Scripture for men to freely fulfill the works for which they were created by God led to the most prosperous nation in the history of the world. The means of fulfilling our destiny and the exact focus of that destiny were not always in alignment with the will of God nor the ways of God as commanded in the word of God. This drifting from Him has led us to where we are today. Consumed by our own pleasures and passions we ignore the One True God. We no longer give thanks for His blessings but consume those blessings and steal more from our neighbor unable to become content with what our God has provided for us through the work of our own hands. The more we ignore God, the more we disobey God, the more difficult our lives become, the more confused the purpose and meaning of our lives becomes, until we destroy ourselves and one another as we are experiencing today. The solution is to repent. To turn back to the One True God and worship Him only. We must place the Scriptures before us as our source of Truth and direction for our lives even as we seek the to be like Jesus in every way Who is God and makes the power of God through His Spirit our means for living as He lived on earth when He lived among us as one of us.
