To God And Man’s Great Sadness, Most Will Not Live In The Kingdom Of Heaven

“”Son of man, wail over the hordes of Egypt and bring Egypt and the daughters of mighty nations down to the underworld, to be with those who descend to the Pit: “Assyria is there with her whole assembly; her graves are all around her. All of them are slain, fallen by the sword. “Elam is there with all her hordes around her grave. All of them are slain, fallen by the sword — those who went down to the underworld uncircumcised, who once spread their terror in the land of the living. They bear their disgrace with those who descend to the Pit. “Meshech and Tubal are there, with all their hordes. Their graves are all around them. All of them are uncircumcised, slain by the sword, although their terror was once spread in the land of the living. “Edom is there, her kings and all her princes, who, despite their strength, have been placed among those slain by the sword. They lie down with the uncircumcised, with those who descend to the Pit. All the leaders of the north and all the Sidonians are there. They went down in shame with the slain, despite the terror their strength inspired. They lie down uncircumcised with those slain by the sword. They bear their disgrace with those who descend to the Pit.” Ezekiel 32:18, 22, 24, 26, 29-30 CSB https://bible.com/bible/1713/ezk.32.18-30.CSB

When God lived among us as one of us, He said the way is narrow, the path is difficult, that leads to life, and few were those upon it. Not many will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only a few will. This is the chagrin and consternation of the masses who insist that because God loves everyone, His standards are irrelevant. What matters is that people believed in something and did their best. This is a lie, and our opinion will not change the opinion of God expressed in the Scriptures. God does love everyone, and He desires that no one should perish for all eternity in torment and suffering. This does not mean people are not responsible for humbling themselves before God and doing what He commands. God has given us the creation to cause us to know that He exists. All creation’s complexity, magnitude, and beauty should drive us to believe that God made it. God has given us a conscience to know He requires good from us. All people everywhere believe in right and wrong, though the wicked continue to move that standard, searing most consciences. God has given us His word to know Him. We are without excuse for not reading the Bible and meeting with others to understand and apply God’s word in our lives. God came to reveal Himself to us and make a way for us to live forever with Him through repentance and faith in Him. God has given His church so that people everywhere can see the children of God loving Him and loving one another and, therefore, know that God is real. His church has been commanded to go everywhere and share these things with all nations so that all the world will come to Him for restoration and assurance of eternal life in peace, joy, abundance, and health. Yet most continue down the path of their own destruction, insisting God conforms to their thinking rather than conforming their lives to God’s commands. God loves everyone, but few love God as He has commanded us to do, so most people will not live in the kingdom of heaven.
