Christians must embrace the foolishness of the gospel to truly live by faith and obedience to everything Jesus has commanded. It is the university professor passed down to the public school teacher and trumpeted by the media that ridicules our God and His truth found in His word. And so many of us believe them! They mock our creation story, slander our marriage covenant, deny our value and identity as male and female, and murder our unborn while creating chaos, brokenness, and suffering in humanity, with so many Christians supporting their false ideas. Why do we believe these ‘wise’ people? Why do we value their opinion over the opinion of God? Is it to fit in, to be included among the intelligent and not suffer for following the poor, uneducated Savior Who is God in the flesh, crucified for humanity and risen from the dead to prove to humanity He is true, faithful, and able to forever pardon and forever place us with Him in His eternal kingdom? The worldly ‘wise’ parade their spouse before the world naked and remain unashamed. The Bible declares it is the fool who says there is no God. Many fools occupy our universities, school administrations, and media outlets, though they would argue that the fool resides in the church. We must choose Who is the way, the Truth and the life. The PhD or the Savior from heaven, risen from the dead, Who warns us of His return and the foolishness of rejecting Him and His Word like those who build their lives on the sand of unbelief.
