You Must Be A Conqueror To Get To Heaven

Revelation 21.7 describes, the one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son.

At the end of God’s Word, the Bible, where He describes the new heavens and the new earth, He says those who will live with Him forever are not those who believe, nor those who prayed a prayer, but those who conquered. What did these, who are acceptable to God, conquer? (more…)

The True Christian Has A Mind For Action

1 Peter 1.13 commends, with your minds ready for action, be sober-minded and set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Not complicated really how we are to live. We, who hope in the return of Jesus the Savior because we believe in His resurrection from the dead after He perfectly and thoroughly conquered the penalty of sin which is death. We are to live different lives because we are different people, aliens and strangers in this world seeking a better home, a home that lasts forever with God and all those who have ever loved Him by obeying His commands from all time in all places. God is Looking For A Few Good People

Isaiah 6.8 records, I heard the voice of the Lord asking: Who should I send? Who will go for us? I said: Here I am. Send me.

Oh that everyone in the marketplace would hear God ask them this question. In truth, God has transitioned this question to a command telling us all to go and make disciples. When God lived among us as one of us, Jesus the Savior, He said He came to change His followers into fishers of men. (more…)

The Key Attributes of the Normal Christian Life

2 Timothy 2.4-6 describes, no one serving as a soldier gets entangled in the concerns of civilian life; he seeks to please the commanding officer. These three descriptions of the Christian life reflect three different but necessary attributes for living the Christian life in a way that honors God and makes clear to men and demons that we are truly committed to Him and His ways. (more…)

It’s Not What We Do But What We Say That Offends People

What does it look like to see Jesus Christ in us? The simple answer seems to be that His character and His purpose would be demonstrated by us if He truly lived within us. So what did His character and purpose look like? (more…)

How Comfortable Are You in Your Body?

2 Corinthians 5.6 observes, we are always confident and know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord.

Paul is speaking about our physical body though he is encouraging us about our future body. Paul reminds us that while we live on earth we are not at home with the Lord. Our true destiny, our true residence, our true happiness, is with Jesus where He is living bodily; with Him forever. (more…)

Are You Carrying Your Cross?

Luke 14.27 observes, whoever does not bear his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.

Whenever something difficult occurs in our lives we are fond of saying that we are bearing our cross. We associate hard things with our share in the burdens the world seems to give to everyone. This is not what God meant when He commanded us to carry our cross. (more…)
