When we come to the Lord Jesus we need to be sick not well. We need to be sick because we need to recognize our need for a doctor. Jesus alone can restore us to God. No religion, no good works, no other ‘gods’ can bring us into a personal relationship with the One True God.
1 John 3.18, commands, let us not love in word or speech, but in action and in truth.
Too much talk, to little action. Everyone wants world peace and for all people to get along yet we see little evidence of this wish coming true. God wills for it to be so and has provided all we need for making it happen. (more…)
Luke 14.27 observes, whoever does not bear his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.
Whenever something difficult occurs in our lives we are fond of saying that we are bearing our cross. We associate hard things with our share in the burdens the world seems to give to everyone. This is not what God meant when He commanded us to carry our cross. (more…)
