God has come to earth looking like us and has invited us to become part of His family. In Jesus, God exists as a man that we might see Him, touch Him, hear Him and live like Him. In Him we can become His children, His siblings, His family. It is a strange wonder, not easy to grasp that the God of the universe Who is greater than all the heavens and the earth is also as small as a man. Yet that is what God has done for God to have intimate, familial relationships with His creation. How wonderful God is. I want to be in His family. What then must i do? God’s will. Simple but not easy. For the will of God is that i repent from my self-centered way and live life God-centered. The will of God is that i deny myself in order to take upon myself the work of God in the world. This work is done in unison, in partnership with Jesus, He Himself pulling the bulk of the load so that i am not burdened or overwhelmed by its magnanimity nor it’s difficulty. Yet i get to be by the will of God a partner of His to accomplish the will He has for all people in all places knowing Him and loving Him with all of their heart, soul, mind, and strength as evidenced by obedience to all of His commands which are manifested in our relationships with one another as children of God. O Lord please make me Your brother. Please Holy Spirit come and equip me to walk in Your ways, doing Your work in Your way for Your glory bearing much fruit proving that You are in me and that i am in You.
